Overview
Every crude oil grade is different. Its value to a refinery depends on its API gravity, sulphur content and the products it yields. BRONCI works from the published assay of each grade and matches supply to the technical and commercial needs of the buyer.
We only handle crude oil from origins and counterparties permitted under EU, United Nations, United Kingdom and United States sanctions rules. Every transaction starts with full verification of both sides.
Key Assay Parameters
| Parameter | Typical value / limit |
|---|---|
| API gravity | According to grade (light, medium or heavy) |
| Sulphur content | According to grade (sweet or sour) |
| Pour point | According to grade assay |
| Total acid number (TAN) | According to grade assay |
| Viscosity | According to grade assay |
| Basic sediment and water (BS&W) | Typically max 0.5 % v/v |
| Salt content | According to contract |
Crude oil quality is defined by the assay of each grade and origin. Final specifications are agreed in each contract and confirmed by independent inspection at the loading port.
